By booking a session you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions as set out below.
Sessions are undertaken at a coach/assistant student ratio of 1:5 however the proprietor withholds the right to change this under necessary circumstances.
Booking dates can be changed for free up to 7 days before the day of the session, as long as there is availability on an alternative session. We will not charge you for making date changes as long as alternative sessions are available. Where no notice is given or students do not attend no refunds are given.
In the event of bad weather or due to unforeseen circumstances, we may have to cancel some dates but we will try where possible and offer alternative options if available or refund all monies paid for the dates cancelled.
There may be occasions where the medical or physical conditions of a child means that it would not be appropriate or safe to include that child on a session on the basis of health and safety. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to inform the proprietor at the time of booking of any pre-existing medical, physical or behavioural conditions, or medication requirements, so that provisions for the students specific needs can be addressed before the session. If this information is not provided we reserve the right to exclude the student from a session with no refund.
Appropriate basic First Aid will be administered to children in the event of an accident while under the academy's care by a person qualified to do so. If the accident is more serious, we may need to call the emergency services and will immediately inform parents/guardians.
Students should come with appropriate clothing and provisions for their session as these items are not provided by the proprietor.
All your child’s personal property is your own responsibility the proprietor does not take any responsibility for loss of personal belongings during or after the sessions.
Whilst every precaution is taken to avoid accidents, students & coaches are made aware of safety guidelines set out in our risk assessments at the start of all sessions. If an accident occurs that is deemed by the proprietor to be avoidable by following the guidelines, the proprietor takes no responsibility for any injury of loss that may occur.
We will treat all personal information as confidential and will not share it with any third parties unless required to do so by law. We may contact you to tell you about other products or services that Learn to fish offer. Personal photography is not allowed during the sessions due to privacy restrictions of our students. The coaches take promotional pictures & videos for students to purchase at a later date as long as permission has been granted by the parents or guardians for this to go ahead. All photographs and videos can be used for promotional purposes by the proprietor.
Students should be collected promptly at the finish time of the session any delays can be charged at the discretion of the proprietor.
Free items given to students as part of their sessions are subject to availability and no cost is attributed to them in the session fee.
Students over the age of 12 are responsible for ensuring they have a valid fishing licence for the day of the session the proprietor takes no responsibility for any fines or Environmental agency actions should students fail to purchase the correct fishing licence.
Bookings made will be subject to an additional day ticket price payable on the day to the bailiff prices are normally £6 but this is set by the lake.
